ABOUT SHARE KILO
Bringing distances closer,
one package at a time.
The story of a platform born from mutual aid and solidarity.
Our History
Share Kilo was born from a simple yet poignant observation: sending a parcel to loved ones in Africa is often an uphill battle. Between exorbitant prices, interminable delays, and the risk of loss, the African diaspora was looking for a more humane alternative.
We decided to digitize an age-old practice: solidarity between travelers. By creating a secure space where senders and travelers can meet, we transformed each person's journey into an opportunity to provide service to the other.
Mutual support is at the heart of our model
Our mission

TRUST & PREVENTION
SENDER'S SIDE
How to send your suitcase safely?
Your safety is our priority. Once you have booked and obtained the traveler's number, remain vigilant.
You must ask the Traveler:
-
His flight number: check it in real time on the airline's website. -
Your booking number: confirm its validity with the carrier. -
His identity documents: ask for a photo of his passport (identity page) as well as a selfie.
Always arrange to meet the traveler at the airport on the day of their departure to hand-deliver your package.
Golden rule: Only provide the unique code after your recipient has confirmed delivery.
TRAVELER SIDE
How to transport a suitcase safely?
As a traveler, you are responsible for your luggage. Here's how to ensure a stress-free experience.
Your rights and obligations upon delivery:
-
Content check: You must inspect the inside of the package in front of the sender. Refuse any package that is already sealed. -
Prohibited products: Never agree to transport unidentified liquids, powders, or undeclared valuables. -
Sender's identity: Check the ID of the person handing you the package at the airport.
To securely unlock your money, request the unique code from the sender (or recipient) only at the time of final delivery of the package.
Customs advice:
If you have any doubt about the legality of an item, it's best to decline to transport it. Your legal security comes first.
